Archival research skills are largely transferable and I am able to carry out research connected with many historical subjects which ostensibly lie outside my own field of expertise. I have extensive experience of using a wide range of documentary sources, including governmental administrative records, personal papers, business records and documents created by a whole range of miscellaneous organisations such as professional associations, trade unions, charities and campaign groups.
I am thoroughly familiar with the main sources and standard research methodologies in the field of genealogy, and have assisted many family historians who are interested in accessing records held in London repositories that are not yet available online.
